Company Background

Computerized Meter Manufacturing Corporation (CMMC) invented the world's first automatic, remotely read electric metering system in the world. CMMC was organized in 1977 for the express purpose of researching, designing, and developing a completely automatic electronic system dedicated to remotely metering utility-delivered products such as electricity, gas, and water.  CMMC installed the world’s first commercial, automatic electronic metering system in 1979.

CMMC has been on the cutting edge of electronic metering technology ever since, improving  performance, increasing the benefits, and lowering the cost of electronic meters.  We are the oldest and most experienced electronic meter manufacturer in the world with thousands of commercial, residential, and utility meters installed. 

CMMC's products are designed, manufactured, calibrated, and tested by our own staff in the U.S.A.. We buy nothing except basic components (i.e., chip sets, capacitors, resistors, etc.).  You see quality craftsmanship and state-of-the-art electronics inside our enclosures.
